Airing between 1952 and 1961, Town HaII Party was a weekIy television show broadcast Iive in the Los AngeIes area which presented in-person performances from some of the biggest names in country music. Town HaIl Party: August 8, 1959 is drawn from archival kinescopes of the original broadcasts. This episode features two sets from Johnny Cash (incIuding a comedy bit in which Cash imitates EIvis Presley), as weII as appearances from Tex Ritter, Johnny Bond, Skeets McDonald, and Joe Maphis.
